Stephanie Jane Sylvia died unexpectedly July 27, 2024, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 23 years 9 months 8 days. Memorial Services are scheduled for 12 p.m. Monday, August 19, 2024, at the Wadley’s Funeral Chapel, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.
Stephanie was born October 19, 2000, in Elk City, Oklahoma, to Ronald and Tamera (Elston) Sylvia.
Throughout her formative years, Stephanie traversed various communities in Oklahoma - from Clinton to Norman, Lone Wolf to Purcell, and finally settling in Oklahoma City. It was here that she completed her education at Northwest Classen High School in 2019, marking the culmination of her academic journey.
Post-graduation, Stephanie embarked on a career path as a customer service representative at Costco. Her warm demeanor and unwavering dedication endeared her to colleagues and customers alike.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Stephanie’s true passion lay in the company of loved ones. Whether surrounded by friends or family, she radiated an infectious energy that lit up every gathering she attended. Athleticism coursed through Stephanie’s veins, manifesting itself in her love for sports. From the fields of Purcell where she excelled in softball and basketball to the courts of Oklahoma City where she showcased her talents in basketball and volleyball - Stephanie’s competitive spirit knew no bounds.
In the tapestry of Stephanie’s life, one thread gleamed brighter than all others - the bond she shared with her dear brother Ryan, aunt Andy, and cousin who was akin to a sister, Alexx. Their unwavering support provided solace and strength to Stephanie through every twist and turn that life presented.
Stephanie was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Allen Sylvia, Jr.; her mother, Tamera Sylvia; her grandmothers, who both help raise her, Cinday Cloniger and Sharon Newberry; her grandfather, Robert Dean Newberry; her guardian, Aundrea Newberry; and a brother, Shaun Derek Elston.
Survivors include her brother, Ryan Allen Sylvia; her aunt, Rhonda Lynn Redington; her cousin/sister, Alexandria Sylvia Bourland; her uncle, Chris Cloniger and wife, McKinsey; and numerous other relatives and friends.
