Paul Gerome Gray, 88, of Purcell, died Thursday, February 1, 2024, in Purcell. The son of Sidney James Gray and Virgil (Williamson) Gray, he was born December 1, 1935, in Blanchard.
Paul married Melva Bernice Kemp on August 24, 1981, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He worked as salesman for Pioneer Farm Equipment in California and retired in 2003 after forty-two years of service. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Spokane, Washington, and in 2005 they moved to Purcell. Paul was a member of the Truth Free Will Baptist Church in Purcell. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on farm equipment and reading western novels. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Martha Jo Patton, Linda Moody and Niki Gray; and three brothers, Buster Gray, James Gray and Ronnie Gray.
Paul is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Melva Gray, of Purcell; two sons, Danny Gray and his wife, Betty, of Bolivar, Missouri, and Chris Gray of Bolivar, Missouri; one step-son, Randy Hutchens of Spokane, Washington; two sisters, Elizabeth Hollcroft of Norman and Brenda Olmeda of Washington; two brothers, Tommy Gray of Norman and Harold Gray of Norman; six grandchildren, Brandi, Ginger, Eric, Christopher, Daniel and Stephanie; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loved ones and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, February 9, 2024, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral of Blanchard.
