Lexington’s fast-pitch team is sitting at 3-0 with their biggest test so far on the horizon. They traveled to 8-0 Lindsay on Tuesday.

Starting Thursday, Lexington will be in Sulphur for the Murray County Bash. They play Ada at 9:30 a.m.

Lindsay

“It will be a pitching duel. Riese Flood is Lindsay’s pitcher and I think she already has more than 50 strikeouts,” head coach Monty Ervin said.

Flood was the 2023 District 3A-3 Pitcher of the Year.

According to Ervin, this could be the top two teams in the district duking it out.

“They are really good. They are senior-laden with some other pieces mixed in. We have less experience and we haven’t been tested yet. We’ll see how the team reacts.”

Last Tuesday, Lexington picked up two wins over Crooked Oak, 17-1 and 15-0.

“It was good to get those wins, but we just haven’t been tested yet,” Ervin said.
