Mr. Ingram passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2024.
Born February 26, 1943, in Lorenzo, Texas, he was the baby of 11 children born to Allen Grady Ingram and Annie Bell (Angel) Ingram.
James was raised in Tupelo, Okla., where he attended school, graduating with the Class of 1962. He answered the call in service to his country, serving in the United States Army during Vietnam.
By chance, het a young lady named Olivia Jean Allison. They were introduced by mutual friends, and the rest as they say is history. James and Jean were married on August 13, 1969 in Ada. They first made their home in Duncan and for a short time in Purcell, before settling in Washington in 1981. Together they raised two children, daughter Donna and son Mark.
James worked as an assembler for General Motors, retiring after 27 years of dedicated service. He was a man of great faith and longtime member of the Life Tabernacle Church UPC in Mustang. James was also a faithful member of the Washington Masonic Lodge and a 32nd Degree Master Mason.
In his spare time, he enjoyed shooting his guns at the range, and chasing his grandkids from activity to activity. He was a family man first; a wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and a true friend. He will be dearly missed!
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jean Ingram; his parents, Allen and Annie Bell Ingram and his siblings, Leallen Ingram, Hank Ingram, Leroy Ingram, Allen Ingram, Thelma Walkup, Bobby Ingram, Betty Reed, Odetta Hudson, Melba Anderson and Harry Ingram.
