James was born March 28, 1968, in DeWitt, Arkansas, to Claude and Shirley Mae (Edwards) Poore.
He was raised in DeWitt, where he embarked on his educational path, culminating in his graduation from high school in 1987. It was during these formative years that his spirit found solace in the teachings of the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn. A pivotal moment graced his life on July 5, 1986, when he was baptized by brother Fred Britton in Parkland, Okla.,—a testament to his unwavering faith.
The chapters of James’s narrative intertwined with love when he exchanged vows with Henriedda Mitchell on October 4, 1996. Together, they traversed through life’s tapestry, cherishing moments spent traveling to Arkansas to be with family and the brethren. James adorned his professional hat as a general laborer and caregiver, a role he executed with dedication and compassion for many years.
Beyond his professional endeavors, James found pure joy in the company of loved ones. Whether nestled within the walls of home or amidst friends, his presence radiated warmth and contentment. His benevolent soul touched all who had the privilege of knowing him.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Shirley Poore; and his sisters, Sheila Poore and Angie Poore Brickey.
