Two Purcell seniors going to Girls State

A pair of Purcell seniors-to-be are attending Girls State this week in Edmond on the campus of the University of Central Oklahoma.

Ellie Feroli and Kate Ginn will spend the week of May 26 through May 31 at UCO at the American Legion Auxiliary Oklahoma Girls State.

Feroli, who just recently was elected president of the 2025 senior class, is the 17-year-old daughter of Melissa Feroli.

She is on the band leadership team, a student council officer, a member of Key Club, FCCLA, National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, Letter P awards and a Georgia O’Keefe award winner.

Feroli participated in making gingerbread house kits at the library, volunteering at the regional food bank, volunteering to give out candy for the city during Halloween and volunteering at nursing homes.

Ginn is the 17-year-old daughter of Charlotte and Jeremy Ginn.

She has been on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll, is a member of the National Honor Society, Oklahoma Honor Society, Letter P award, is a student council officer, is in Spanish Club, Leadership Class, cheer and in the Top 10 percent.

Ginn has participated in Operation Christmas, Tacky Sweater 5K Fun Run, Haunt the Trail, Little League Cheer camp and participated in ROAD Week.
