Both Purcell and Washington Fire Departments responded to a structure fire that destroyed a large travel trailer and a nearby shed late in the afternoon of April 24.
While Purcell units were en route to the fire two miles north of Union Hill Baptist Church, Washington’s Department was requested to meet them at the scene.
The home was occupied by Jake Scott, Payton Bell and their young daughter.
No one was inside the travel trailer at the time of the fire and there were no injuries.
The call came in at 4:23 p.m. Once the fire and hot spots were completely out both departments went back to their stations at 6:20 p.m.
