Water restrictions are now in place for the next 48-hours while crews continue the search for line breaks.
“It’s not a dire-strait situation now,” City Manager Sam Demel said. “But, we want to keep the water in the water towers high enough so we don’t have to do flow restrictions later.”
Please discontinue the use of recreational water or irrigation systems until July 5.
Drinking water may be collected at the Purcell Multi-Purpose Center until 8 p.m. this evening.
If needed, you may bring large bottles or containers to be filled. For more information and updates, please visit www.purcellok.gov
The water outage issues are for customers not in the city limits, according to Water Superintendent Michael Minor.
The city thanks you for your cooperation.
