Purcell recently received a $40,000 grant from the Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust.

The TSET grant will be used to update the sand volleyball court and provide updates to the lighting and green space for yard games.

TSET encourages Oklahomans to adopt healthy lifestyles.

I’ve got to wonder who thought it was a good idea for the Opening Ceremonies of the Paris Olympics mocking Christians with a depiction of drag queens at The Last Supper.

It has caused a world-wide controversy.

A scene that parodied Leonardo da Vinci’s acclaimed painting of The Last Supper prompted at least one company to pull its advertising from the games.

I also have empathy for the athletes staying in the Olympic Village who do not have air conditioning in their rooms. High temperatures on Tuesday reached 96 degrees with a heat index of 103.

It’s been reported that some of the athletes have punted the Olympic Village accommodations for hotels that have air conditioned sleeping quarters.

Still with the Olympics.

It’s great to have something on the TV to watch.

The athletes really put on quite a show.

It’s good news to hear the Secret Service is revamping its protocol for all candidates after the failed assassination attempt on Donald Trump.

It’s obvious they needed to upgrade some of the ways they operate to provide safety for those running for office and for those who are serving in office.
