Head coach Monty Ervin and his Lady ‘Dawgs are in Bethel starting today for the Regional tournament. Luther is in their bracket as well.

“We’re pretty banged up going into Regionals,” Ervin said.

Lexington will play Luther in the first game at noon today (Thursday). The winner will play Bethel, who gets a first round bye.

“Bethel is good. They don’t give up a lot of runs, but they don’t score a lot either. I think we can score, but can we score enough?”

The loser of the first game will play Friday at noon.

To round out their regular season schedule, Lexington traveled to Konawa on Tuesday.

Stratford

Last week, Lexington lost to Stratford, 5-3.

Stratford scored all five of their runs in the first inning and Lexington clawed back, scoring one run in the bottom of the second inning and two more in the bottom of the third.

But, that was it offensively for Lexington as they fell to the other Bulldogs.

Brodie Anderson and Hannah Garrett had Lexington’s two hits in the loss. The Lady ‘Dawgs had patience at the plate as they collected 10 walks.

Anderson was in the circle for Lexington. She fanned six batters and gave up just three walks.
