Washington residents will celebrate July 4th Saturday, June 29, with Freedom Weekend at 103 E. Carter Avenue.

A car show kicks off the all-day event starting at noon.

A fish fry and burgers will be served starting at 6 p.m. for $10 per plate.

Also on the agenda is a softball tournament, a quilt raffle and a water slide for the youngsters and the young at heart.

Capping off the fun-filled day will be fireworks starting at dark.

All proceeds will go to the Washington Volunteer Fire Department.
