McClain County remains in an extreme drought situation despite much needed rainfall Monday and Monday night.
A total of 1.65” was recorded in that 24 hour window in Purcell. According to the Oklahoma Mesonet, 1.57” was recorded in Washington and 2.07” in Byars.
The 1.65” brings the year-to-date total here to 33.35”. Normal year-to-date for this area is 32.26”.
Oklahoma City has recorded 21.57” so far this year.
Additional rainfall is predicted for Friday morning.
