Diego De Leon has been hired as the new Purcell High School boys soccer coach.
Superintendent Dr. Sheli McAdoo reports De Leon brings a wealth of knowledge to the program.
“He holds multiple soccer coaching certificates including USSF national certification and UEFA international certification,” Dr. McAdoo said.
He has coached soccer in Montana, Missouri and Oklahoma.
De Leon is married to Dr. Kara De Leon, who is a professor of microbiology at The University of Oklahoma.
His hobbies include fly fishing, snowboarding and cooking.
De Leon said he wants to “create a culture of hard work, development and teamwork that gives players an opportunity to achieve success on and off the field.”
