A dozen new Auxiliary Reserve McClain County Sheriff Deputies were sworn in by Sheriff Landy Offolter after graduating from CLEET training at Mid-America Technology Center June 15.
Academy Coordinator Matthew Haines welcomed the graduates and their friends and families followed by remarks from class leader Trey McKeel with the Union City Police Department.
McClain County Captain David Graham, who was a guest speaker, spearheaded the badge pinning ceremony with Haines passing out certificates.
Graduates included Mark Anderson, pinned by Chief Mark Smith; Colton St. John, pinned by his spouse, Megan St. John; Mary McLain, pinned by her daughter, Baylor McLain; Jamey Williams, pinned by his spouse, Stephanie Gibson, Elleigh Mills, pinned by his mentor Kevin McCullough, and Hannah Armstrong, pinned by her father Brad Armstrong.
Also, Shannon Robertson, pinned by her spouse, Justin Robertson; Jay Ladlee, pinned by his spouse, Janet Ladlee; Janey Rowden, pinned by her spouse Adam Rowden; Chris Montgomery, pinned by his father Chief Ronald Montgomery; Lucas Wray, pinned by his best friend Kody Saunders and Trey McKeel, pinned by his mother Sharyn McKeel.
